Acceptable Use Policy
Use GMITrend software responsibly, with accurate records and authorised access.
Last updated: 28 September 2026
Authorised business activity
Use the purchased software only within its stated licence and for lawful activities. Access accounts, documents and systems only where you have permission. Permission to view a record does not necessarily permit sharing it with another organisation.
Honest records
Do not use the software to create deceptive invoices, falsify supporting documents, disguise transactions, fabricate audit evidence or mislead customers, staff, auditors or public authorities. Corrections and simulations should be clearly distinguished from actual transactions.
Personal data and confidential material
Process records only where you have a lawful basis and appropriate authority. Limit information to the task at hand. Do not upload unrelated sensitive data, stolen records, full payment-card credentials or another person’s passwords. Provide privacy information to people whose records you manage when required.
Account and system protection
Protect credentials and remove access when it is no longer authorised. Do not bypass access controls, exploit a vulnerability, introduce malicious code, disrupt another customer, overload a service or conceal prohibited activity. Testing a system requires the necessary permission; purchasing software does not grant that permission.
Licence and intellectual property
Do not distribute keys publicly, resell access without permission or infringe another party’s copyright, confidentiality or database rights. Rights and exceptions that cannot lawfully be restricted remain unaffected.
Exports, reports and decisions
Check important calculations against reliable source records. Do not remove context from reports in a way that misrepresents their period, assumptions or completeness. The software does not authorise you to claim an independent audit, certification or professional opinion that has not been obtained.
Responding to misuse
We may proportionately investigate a credible misuse report and restrict the affected access where necessary to protect users or comply with law. Where safe and reasonable, we explain the concern and provide a chance to correct it. Serious or repeated misuse may lead to licence termination, subject to applicable contract and consumer rights. Reporting a concern does not itself authorise anyone to inspect another customer’s records.
Reporting a problem
Email [email protected] with the affected product, date and non-sensitive evidence. Do not send passwords or expose another customer’s information.
